Nearly a year ago I started this blog and I promised an introduction…I’m Jill and my husband is Chris. Together we own and run Goldendoodle Lovely.

I imagined a wonderful article that showed the high’s and low’s of our journey. Taking the you along for the ride. Explaining why we love raising our puppies and the joys of owning our own business.

I imagined photos of my family looking (nearly) perfect, with our dogs sitting obediently with us.

It was going to be such a great introduction. As you read, it would feel like you knew me and understood where I was coming from. You might even need a tissue as we connect over shared experiences.

Alas, I don’t have the time to pose for perfect photos. My life is chaotic, crazy, loving, rewarding, and blessed. At the writing of this behind the scenes introduction… we have 4 generations living in our home. I feel blessed to have my mother-in-law living with us. My second daughter, her husband and my first grandbaby, as well as two college age children and my youngest child who is in High School… we love having them all under the same roof. My oldest daughter lives in Utah with her husband and my second grandbaby. If you were counting, we’ve got 5 amazing kids, 2 fantastic sons-in-law, and 2 grandbabies (they are so adorable!).

Our lives are full of band concerts, school events, Sunday worship, and appointments (Dr’s, Vets, Ultrasounds etc.). While there are a lot of puppy snuggles, there is also a lot of puppy poop. There are schedules for vaccinations, vet checks, weaning timeframes and training. I’ve had several friends see my calender and gasp… “That’s your calender?!” Yes, our lives are coordinated and color coded. (I may be a little ADHD, but only a little).

We have 3 amazing dogs that live with us full time. Goose, my sheepadoodle – She is my heart-dog! Royce is my son’s standard poodle, and Sadie, a mini goldendoodle, belongs to my daughter and her husband. All our other dogs live with our amazing guardian home families! We have a wonderful Guardian Home program (I LOVE OUR GUARDIAN FAMILIES!!) – all our dogs are loved and cared for on a one-on-one basis. It’s such a blessing to be working with such fantastic families.

Our dogs and puppies are a huge part of our lives. I feel like each puppy always goes to the right family. This has been proven to me over and over. Hearing about the small miracles and sometimes being a part of those miracles is very rewarding. I love being able to raise these sweet puppies and know they are bringing so much joy and fulfillment to their families.

We enjoy trying new things. Chris and I have been white water rafting, sky diving, scuba diving (I’m not quite a fan yet), we have rappelling gear and whip it out for our annual Thanksgiving activity. My favorite vacations are a cruise or having nothing scheduled and being in the mountains. I love to crochet and I’m usually working on a project or two at all times. Our family loves board games… we have a fantastic collection and love to play together. Camping is fun for us, but we don’t make it out as often as we’d like.

We love Jesus. My faith is a huge part of my life. Sunday is my Sabbath day and Family Day. If you call/text or email on a Sunday, you’ll get a response from me on Monday.

Okay – so that’s the introduction about our me and our family. I’ll work at sharing more behind the scenes details and daily life. I find it challening to remember to document daily life as it’s happening…but I’ll try.
